Find-A-Word-And-Draw It Fortnight: Videographical Vriday – The RANDAC Project.

March 10, 2017

Using a discarded, bound collection of an academic journal (in this case, Religion and American Culture), I created an ongoing graphic narrative page-by-page. I wouldn’t know what was coming up on the next page, So I could only hope to find a useable word to continue the piecemeal story. As you can guess, things get a bit surreal. So far the tale has included a chicken and a goose who share a crown, a love triangle between road signs, and Death and a beaver cutting down a tree. You can see the 200+ pages starting at this link https://kovaleski.wordpress.com/2015/01/01/randac-001/

“deep”

RANDAC is an experiment in creating a narrative – in both writing and art – one page at a time. Using bound copies of the academic journal “Religion and American Culture,” I choose a word or phrase, then draw something related on that page, with the hope that I can find a word or phrase on the next page that I can build a story upon. In other words, I have no idea what’s going to happen next.
