Greet this! – Late (or early) Mother’s Day

July 10, 2011

This card will take a bit of inside-your-brain, spacial imagining. The first image is the front of the card. The second image is the inside, both left and right panels. So, in the end, the dog’s arm starts on the front and continues to the inside. Confused?

Greet this! – It’s personal

June 26, 2011

Did I mention that I met my wife through a personal ad? I had placed two in a weekly newspaper (remember those?), one in the Spring, the other in the Fall. The first one was similar in tone to the ones above – poking fun at the stereotypical elements you’d find in a typical personal. (“Enjoying kittens” was my favorite line.) My future wife did not respond to the first/funny one (she responded to the second/straight one), but she remembers reading it. I guess she wasn’t desperate enough…yet.

It wasn’t until I was posting this that I realized that I also wrote the goofy, grayed-out ads that surround the circled ones.

I did this card a few years ago, and it’s still pertinent.

Greet this! – Feet don’t fail me now…

Sorry. I can’t seem to find what this card said on the inside. Feel free to make up your own. (I’ll be grading on a curve.)

Greet this! – zzzzzzzzzzz

I picked this one because I’ve been thinking about naps a lot lately… How much I’d like one…How much I’d like another just after waking from one…

Greet this! – Dog days

May 22, 2011

Yep, for this Sunday it’s one of those snarky b-day cards. This one had art on both the outside and inside.

Why? Because I like to give the greeting card purchaser the most greeting card value for their greeting card dollar.

As you can see that it’s the same art on both outside and inside, just altered.

Now that’s value!

I picked this one since my wedding anniversary is just around the corner.

Greet this! – An unwanted visitor

May 1, 2011

I posted two greeting cards last week and that got me thinking –  I’ve done a lot of cards so why not run one each Sunday? Why, that’s a fine idea. Let’s do exactly that.
